What is a subscription box?
Simply, it's a subscription service - like a magazine subscription but better! You sign up and then a box of unique items arrives on your doorstep once each season (March, June, September and December). It's like Christmas four times a year - and each box is different!
What's in the box?
Each box contains 5-7 items created by makers in small towns in Canada. There are different items in each box and it's designed as a surprise. We don't post spoilers and we work with a variety of artisans and makers. We hope you love everything, but gifting items also brings joy, so feel free to pay forward any items that aren't to your taste.
Can I send a box as a gift?
Joyful Life boxes make great gifts - for the holidays, birthdays, employee appreciation (those work from home folks deserve some extra recognition!) even 'just because' or thank you gifts. Inquire about corporate purchases for the holidays, conference gifts or other events.
How do you ship?
Local delivery or pick up is available (we're located in Williams Lake, BC). If you'd like your box shipped we use Canada Post. At this time we are only able to ship boxes within Canada. We track our packages, so you'll get a tracking notification as soon as we ship your box.
Is this a 'value' subscription box?
If by value you mean quality items handcrafted by local artisans, then yes it sure is! We believe in paying artisans and makers fairly because creating handcrafted items takes time, effort and talent. The items in the box will always have a combined minimum retail value of the box price. Joyful Life will never be a 'get $100 worth of items for $29.99' kind of box, but it WILL proudly support families and small businesses at the heart of local communities. That's value to us.
Is there a cut-off date for subscribing?
Items for the box are custom made so orders will close a minimum of two weeks before shipping to allow for products to be completed and boxes to be packed.
